Worcester News Strictly Feature

Worcester News featured Strictly ‘Glittering couples all set to trip the lights fantastic for charity’ on 26th March.  Janet & David Chill, Kathy Leather & Steve Lloyd, Charles Rodway & Brigette Packer and Caron & Mark Steele were photographed in the article which explained details of the looming event Strictly Worcestershire which is to be held on the evening of Thursday the 22nd of May at the Chateau Impney hotel in Droitwich.

Gerard Smith of estate agents Andrew Grant commented, “I have been overwhelmed by the support the idea received and the enthusiasm shown by those who have entered. I gather many hours have already been spent practising and sewing on sequins- and that’s just the men!” The event is donating all that is raised to two Worcester charities ‘Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign’ and ‘Ladies fighting Breast Cancer’. Gold, Silver and Bronze tables are available and begin at £750 for a table of 10, individual seats costing £85 and viewing from the general public gallery and bar at £20.

Each couple will be performing two dances, these range from The Jive to the Viennese Waltz and will be judged by a panel including Lord Digby Jones, former director of CBI and trade and investment minister, ITV presenter Bob Warman and Worcester Warriors legend Craig Gillies.

Progress of battling breast cancer is dependent on funding, what better way to raise awareness and funding than a night of Waltzing, laughing and a tipple or two.
