borwell sign the Armed Forces Covenant

On the 18th of November borwell’s managing director Steven Borwell-Fox signed the Armed Forces Covenant. The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

borwell has pledged that as a software development and cyber security company, it will help members of the armed forces in whatever way they can from a business perspective. Support will include work experience, industry and technology advice, CV advice and could lead to direct employment. borwell have already aided a veteran by giving digital security advice and working demonstrations so they where better informed for an upcoming interview.

borwell’s staff are excited to welcome those who have served and join Steve in pledging to work with ex-service personnel. The Employer Engagement Scheme is the next step for borwell after making initial pledges. Through a 3 tier approach of bronze, silver and gold awards, the scheme recognises the different levels of commitment provided by employers. This allows the Ministry of Defence to publicly thank and honour those organisations for their support.
