Working Hours

The company offers flexible working.  Currently the team are working remotely, and soon will return to 2-3 days per week in office based team working.

Package

The salary ranges from £35,000 to £70,000 plus all expenses are paid. The salary that is offered is subject to skills and proven experience.

The Opportunity

This tech business is very busy and needs a talented person to champion all marketing initiatives.  The ideal candidate will already have a portfolio of stories and results to talk about.   She/he/they will be enthusiastic and continually improving their tradecraft.

Essential skills & experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven track record of creating and running campaigns
  • Strong physical marketing skills (i.e. networking, expos, events)
  • Digital marketing skills – e.g. blogs, LI posts, webinars, podcasts
  • Experienced in content creation – creative writing about tech
  • Ideally a creative personality (yellow) but equally can focus (be blue, analytical) when they need to be
  • Extrovert
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Networking and event lover – we love big expos like Farnborough Airshow and Security & Policing, and Public Security Expos in Belgium, Italy, Holland and France
  • Loves tech – forget PowerPoint, you will be showcasing software demos about space, cyber and GIS maps, in 3D and real-time tracking of vehicles and satellites!
  • Bid writing and producing quotes (dead easy in Xero)
  • No, you won’t be cold calling

The MD is really busy and would welcome someone to sift through the ever-filling tenders inbox.  This would be most welcome and there are ‘nuggets’ in this inbox going unread!  Plenty to get stuck into from day one.

Desirable skills

  • Willing to learn more digital skills (e.g. video product, podcasts, webinars)
  • Willing to run webinars (we’re new to these so we’re learning too)
  • Keen to present the company’s capabilities and case studies at industry events – we will coach you and practice, and then practice, …
  • Willing to travel within UK and USA, Europe and Middle East – Well not today, but soon we will go venturing out abroad again
  • Ideally speaks some French/German/Italian just for politeness when we’re abroad
  • Tender writing – occasionally we partner up with other businesses to bid for larger programmes of work (see comment above about burgeoning tenders inbox)
  • Heard of Agile phrases such as Sprints, Scrums, Epics, Features and User Stories – if not we will train you up with the essentials, so that you know how the teams deliver business value

Increase inbound leads – we don’t sell and we don’t have any sales people, we just need good quality inbound leads

Contract length
